Planning Committee Spotlights: Christopher Kishimoto, Eversource

With 2025 being his third year as a Planning Committee member, Christopher Kishimoto enjoys sharing his conference experiences at Eversource to encourage attendance, letting others know about:

• The valuable networking opportunities with SMEs from other utilities and vendors, and

• The high-quality educational sessions.

“The connections we form between the PC members is amazing. I’ve served on the Billing & Payments track for Workshops and Deep Dives. Though we four are from different parts of the country working at different utilities, we check in throughout the year with strategy or process questions. What a great resource!”

At Eversource, Kishimoto manages two teams overseeing daily payment and print operations and a newly created vendor management organization. “My boss knows I’m doing a good job based on communication, my preparation for weekly 1:1s, keeping him updated on initiatives and adding strategic input. I’m most proud that Eversource payments have posted 99.4% on time during 2024, even through a major CIS conversion.”

“In 2024, I was tasked with building out a vendor management organization within Eversource’s Customer Operations and Digital Strategy organization. With guidance from my boss who has a background in procurement, our small team achieved avoided costs of a projected $2+ million over the next three years from RFP processes/negotiations and created valuable dashboards that track purchase order funding and vendor performance.” – Christopher Kishimoto

Kishimoto and his wife Bri are CrossFit enthusiasts; he’s been an athlete for 12 years and a coach for 10. Together, they also enjoy an annual trip for sunshine and relaxation to Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Other hobbies include hikes with Ruthie, his Aussiedoodle, playing chess and reading. Currently on his bedside table? Daring Greatly by Brene Brown and Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz.
