Involved as a Planning Committee member since 2019, Diana Dominique wears many hats at Electricity Canada, as its senior director for customer solutions and sustainability, one of which is to work on important issues with and for its members. The other is as a facilitator, connecting utilities in Canada and North America to share, develop and implement best practices. As an advocacy organization, Electricity Canada works with its federal government on national issues affecting Canada and the U.S. on behalf of its members. During a recent program realignment, Diana helped streamline and make sustainability reporting easier for members.
“IUCX helps us connect peers across North America. It’s a wonderful learning opportunity for me. The electricity sector is growing, and there are a lot of pressures and challenges facing the industry. Now more than ever, we need to collaborate to see how we can solve them together. Platforms like IUCX are key to utilities across these sectors,” she said. Diana is assigned to IUCX’s Strategies & Analytics Workshop Track.
“My most recent travels were to Mexico, near the Belize border. We went on a snorkeling trip, and it was fantastic to see a healthy ecosystem with live coral and fish that we’d never seen before. It was like being on a National Geographic expedition! – Diana Dominique |
When she’s not working, Diana enjoys paddling, hiking, yoga and generally being outdoors in all seasons. She’s planning to marry in 2025. Her current reading list includes Wilbur Smith’s Egyptian series and the entire Bible, front to back. Say hello to Diana when you see her in Phoenix!
