Planning Committee Spotlights: Kinn’zon Hutchinson, Gainesville Regional Utilities

With seven years’ experience as a Planning Committee member, Kinn’zon Hutchinson brings a wealth of hands-on know-how and the skills to pivot to alternatives and different options. “I love the network of people. I’m able to provide and receive ideas that are effective and contribute to the industry.” Hutchinson serves on the Digital Engagement workshop track and Deep Dives category where he and his colleagues develop and curate content around digital utility platforms and apps to increase self-service, educate, create process efficiencies and reduce costs.


His PC engagement underscores his role as Chief Customer Officer at Gainesville Regional Utilities. In 2024, he led his team in an enterprise project to replace their Customer Information System, one that earned this Florida public utility the 2024 Level II Expanding Excellence Award for Best CIS Project. Hutchison and his wife have four children, three young men and a young lady. When he can break away from the office, Hutchinson enjoys working on his hobbies as a musician and fisherman and traveling to places like Thailand and Peru.

 

Other PCs enjoy working with Hutchinson, as he embodies a customer-first attitude and a willingness to step up himself for presentation assignments. Though he won’t be wearing the Santa hat in May in Phoenix, look for Hutchinson’s ready smile and affable personality to shine.
